i have a question, why do you think all the characters in the book truely feared dracula? yes he is the "villian" in the story but still there are way more people that could stand up to dracula than it being just him by himself i think that the towns people should have beenbrave enough to go out and try to destroy him their selves. Do you think it is because of his immortal power? do you think it is because of the connections to the undead? or is it just because they are to scared to fo anything about it?
Also, how do you think the concept of fear is portrayed throught the book?
Maybe because the story of Dracula has been passed on by many for so long, (because remember, Dracula is the Undead) an so that's all people do believe. And since they believe it to be true, they decide not to really do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same thing with anything that is related to horror. Why don't they just shoot it? But if the towns people weren't scared it would not have been a very good book. Was it a good book?
ReplyDeletePossibly because they allow their fear of him and his capabilities get in the way of any action that they could take to repremand him.
ReplyDelete@jessicee123.. yes it was a good book, and what you said was true to if there wasnt any "horror" there would be no story at all now would there..
ReplyDelete@jayybear... thats true but wouldnt there be at least one brave soul to stand up against the odds.
Well Dracula is not all scary if you think about it. If you think about it Dracula, is very appealing. When he is described in the novel, he is said to be tall and handsome. The really scary thing is that Dracula can hypnotize his prey. Even his brides are said to have vast beauty and trancing powers.
